A. First Night Saratoga is a family-oriented New Year’s Eve celebration of the arts.

Q. How much does a First Night Saratoga button cost?

A. Buttons are $15, children 5 and under are free! First Night buttons go on sale December 1st..

Q. Where can I buy a button?

A. Buttons can be purchased online beginning December 1st or at the locations listed on our button page.

Q. Will there be food at First Night Saratoga?

A. Several sites will have meals available for additional fees.

Q. Where can I find lodging information?

A. First Night Saratoga will be announcing its hotel sponsor soon. Information on the hotel package will be available by clicking here.

Q. Will there be parking for First Night Saratoga?

A. You my find the best parking is on the street near your desired performance site. You will find off-street parking in the following lots:

  • Woodlawn Avenue between Division and Church Street
  • Church Street at the corner of Woodlawn
  • Spring Street between Putnam and Henry Street
  • Broadway between Caroline and Phila Street across from Division Street
  • Broadway between Lake and Grove Street across from Walton Street
  • 120 Division Street next to Ellsworth Ice Cream
  • Tiered lot at Putnam and Phila Street

    Large parking lots are available for First Night parking at the YMCA of Saratoga at 290 West Ave., as well as the Saratoga High School parking lot, also on West. Ave.

    The Dance Museum on South Broadway also has a lot that will be accessible via the CDTA shuttle buses. 

    In addition to the special 3 First Night bus routes on CTDA buses during the event hours, all regular CDTA routes that run through Saratoga will be running for free to the public from 5 pm on 12/31/08 to 1:00 am 1/1/09.  Parking along those regular routes would thus be also convenient for First Night attendees provided one returns to one’s car prior to 1:00 am---

Q. Will there be buses or alternate transportation?

A. For the bus route map, please click here. Bus routes will be in operation throughout the evening, from 5:00 pm until 1:00am. Please see below for a description of the three bus routes.

Q. Where can I buy a First Night poster?

A. Large posters are $15, small $10, and can be purchased at the YMCA of Saratoga after Dec. 1st. and on the night of the event. In addition, they may be purchased at the Crafter’s Gallery, 429 Broadway, framed or unframed. Please click here to see the poster.
